the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety

A redesign of toe’s 2005 debut studio album “the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety”. Founded in 2000, Toe (stylized as toe or トー) is a Japanese math rock band from Tokyo. Japanese math rock’s distinct sound originated in the late 1980s and is characterized by its complex and rapidly shifting time signatures, accompanied by elaborate and emotionally charged instrumentals that have significantly influenced indie rock, emo, and post-punk sounds. Toe is an era-defining band, having become one of the most influential bands in the math rock scene along with groups like Tricot and Hyakkei (百景), who have taken this distinct sound and added elements of pop and jazz.
Since this album has no lyrics and is simply instrumental, the story behind the music is determined by the listener. I chose to explore an unfolding plot of my own and explore the album as though it were part of a set of secret files. The anxiety of being observed is something I wanted to expand upon, and found that creating a secret file on espionage was an interesting way to delve deeper into one’s anxieties and insecurities about being perceived through a lens that is not one's own.
